About Me
I am a Registered Music Teacher in the province of Alberta,
as well as a certified Music for Young Children instructor.
I have been teaching piano performance and theory as well
as accompanying students for various instrumental, choir
and voice performances for over 20 years. I have taught
students at my home studio, Keyano College in Fort
McMurray, and different music schools in Alberta.
I have been playing the piano since my childhood and was
introduced to voice and accompaniment in my college years.
I love working with students, and as a mother, I appreciate
the importance of music in the development of
children’s mental and cognitive growth.
My teaching philosophy and approach is based on finding
the better person in ourselves with the help of music. Both
my knowledge of music and my bachelor’s degree in psychology help me in establishing a rich and respectful relationship with my students in different age groups.
